Teachers and Staff Dive into Staff Development
As part of a strategic effort to enhance educational standards, Caldwell County Schools conducted a Professional Development Day on Friday, Feb. 23, marking the fifth of six dedicated days for school personnel this academic year. The focused day allowed teachers and staff to concentrate on refining their expertise and sharpening valuable teaching skills.
Dr. Katrina McEllen, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Program Services, emphasized the significance of the day, stating, “The objective is for teachers and staff to emerge from today equipped with resources, heightened awareness, and additional information that empowers them to lead school improvement initiatives within their respective school sites.”
This ongoing training initiative across the school district aims to empower educational teams at each school, enabling them to effectively leverage available resources and ultimately enhance student outcomes. This school year's final Professional Development Day is scheduled on Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2024.
